Looking Forward To The Next…However Many

Happy New Year’s Eve!

Hoping you ring in 2021 doing something fun (even if that’s (literal) sleeping!) with whoever makes you laugh.

The days are numbered, the minutes whiz by and 99% of the time, we never know when our hour will be up here on this earth.

Turning 40 in February, for 39 of those years, life’s been a bit of a (steep) learning curve. Like the Israelites in the wilderness…I had to wander for a while before being able to fully realize, ‘see’ and understand a few things.

And I think I’m finally figuring some stuff out.

Easily grateful for these top 10’s: Jesus, Jeff, the boys, other family, friends, truth, hope, peace, health & provision.

I’m (attempting) to leave behind or minimize these 10: Time on the computer, time on social media, any surgeries/lack of ability to lift weights, physical self-hating, feelings of doubt, feelings of defeat, my inability to grow plants well, pretending to enjoy eating anything with canned mushroom soup in the recipe and on March 10…this daily blog!

Resolutions aren’t something I’ve done, however I do like to pull out goals, thoughts or bucket-list items from my boys and try to incorporate a few in the upcoming year.

Life is meant to be taken seriously and at the same time meant to be thoroughly enjoyed and highly celebrated…it took me a long time to learn that concept for it’s truth and to learn the best way of going about achieving how to do it well…and somewhat balanced.

Always (eventually!) accepting of lessons, even if they suck in the moment, I embrace and look forward to everything 2021 has in store.

2020 was an interesting year…a totally fascinating year.
