It seems I don’t hit the sheets until about midnight these days after finishing the day’s to-dos.
Later last evening, looking at my room-temperature blocks of cream cheese on the counter and knowing cheesecake is high-maintenance (like Jeff!;) when it comes to sudden changes with the cold and all, I decided to put it off until today.
It just came out of the oven at noon.
As people credit various others with a similar quote to — ‘Do what you say you’re going to do’, I’ll take it back in the O.G. to Matthew 5:37 and note the words, “Let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes’, and your ‘No’, ‘No’.”
AKA: Do it or don’t do it. Be solid in your convictions, truthful to your word etc. etc.
Today I was busted by someone for my unintentional cheesecake issues. Funny in theory yet it still served as an on-point reminder of the importance of keeping your word.
Thus, cheesecake deliveries are on the schedule for after dinner.
What is ‘Doorstep Eats’?
With the ‘Rona, we aren’t to gather together, however, we can deliver, drop stuff off and have friends swing by our doorstep to pick up an item.
My stockpot is massive and always makes a lot of soup…like 14 large yogurt containers full when I measured it all once. We only have a mini deep freeze and the family gets sick of what I make after a container or two so over the years, an unintended soup list has been created.
With food prices on the rise and soup taking just as much effort to make a small one as a large one, if you want to get on the accidental list for a chowder, stew or broth-based whatever…feel free to message me and you can swing by with a container sometime.
FYI: I generally make a pot about once per week and most always have lots to get rid of.
‘Doorstep Eats’…see you there/here.
