‘My Favourite Things’

Quirky Preferences

I’m sure I’m not alone when I say I have quirky preferences and favourite things to use when it comes to household items (?).

For example, my preferred mug (for tea or coffee) is a $1.97 Christmas/winter-themed silver and white sale item I picked up from a grocery store a couple of years ago.

It might seem kinda weird but I eat with small spoons and forks and use a small plate too. Towels I’m not particular about, the same goes for dishtowels and reusable water bottles.

One thing that’s stayed consistent over the years is a fondness for using a certain type of pen.

So, what’s my go-to?

A blue Papermate ballpoint stick pen. You know…those ones you get in a box of 10 or whatever. They have a cap and they are simple-looking.

Though I’m not exactly sure why, it’s been my favourite pen to use since elementary and hich school years. I pick through the pen stash and single out one of those almost every time.

When it comes to products, I like the Everyone lotions, Live Clean hair conditioner and Pears brown/orange-ish soap though I haven’t nailed down a laundry detergent, dish soap or toilet paper brand. For all household cleaning (except toilets) I prefer the ‘ol homemade vinegar, water and essential oils combo.
