‘The Building Of A Brand’

What We’ve Learned…So Far

Today was a milestone day for Luke’s little brand.

We created a YouTube channel and figured out some final details for the website.

This whole process has been quite the learning curve and thankfully it’s been without (too many) tears or words of frustration.

At the beginning of this particular business journey, I brought with me some previous business experience a general working understanding of these things:

trademarking, copywriting, business, bookkeeping, tracking payments, customer care, funnels, websites, making product mockups, designing logos, social media, graphics, e-commerce specifics, platform integrations, email autoresponders, videos, apps, platforms, apps, platforms and more platforms.

The last six months, however, has been next level.

Building a brand and business is far from an overnight gig.

It’s not a 3-month gig, 6-month gig or even a year-long gig.

It’s a lifelong journey…a journey that started before Luke was even born, one that officially began when he came into this world and one that continues today as each moment passes.

I know I’m bias but Luke is a great kid.

He has many admirable qualities though one of my most favourites is his desire to have others feel special. He has a huge empathetic heart and chooses to show love to those who especially need it.

Luke is proud of what has created (with a bit of help from Mom ;)).

He wears his neon pink toque with much pride. Though still a bit shy of sharing his project with his friends because he actually doesn’t love the spotlight in that way, he’s warming up to the idea of the company being a way to help others on a larger scale.

From a sketched signature-type design to the incorporation of his favourite fruit (frozen) pineapple, his chill demeanour (the sunglasses) and his spark for life (the funky, edgy and cool designs to come), we should be up and running in the very near future.

Inevitably not without more kinks, quality control issues at some point, shipping hiccups, lost packages, refunds getting messy, the figuring out of payment stuff, more failures and more lessons, we are up for the challenge.

*Kudos plug to Connie J Pak, Jenny and the rest of the team at Tuckdin Marketing and every other person who has helped us as we are most definitely not one or two person show and could not have done this solo…no way!

Nothing rewarding or worthwhile comes easy.

In the climate we are all living in, there is a particular calling and responsibility we feel to use our opportunities and networks to encourage the life of another…or a few!

Much gratitude for the support, love and encouragement from each and every one of our cheerleaders out there. We also greatly value the Facebook shares: Livn&Givn Design Company Ltd., follows on Instagram (at)livn_givn, clicks on YouTube (LIVN GIVN) and subscribes on the website (once I figure out my email responder that is…)

Thank you so much,

Luke & Becky
